Bushkill Falls provides families, friends, couples, and nature
enthusiasts with an excellent opportunity to experience the
splendor and beauty of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains. Bring some
comfortable shoes for a walk over natural pathways. It's only a
short distance to view the Main Falls from the primary observation
deck. Three additional hiking trails provide numerous viewing
angles of all eight waterfalls. Our trails are designed to appeal
to varying ages and physical conditioning. We'll gladly advise as
to the appropriateness of our trails depending upon your individual
abilities or concerns.
Our trails vary in length and difficulty:
- Green Trail - View the Main Falls from the
green trail, which takes about 15 minutes to walk. No climbing is
involved, however, there are steps.
- Yellow Trail - View the Main Falls, as well as
Lower Gorge Falls, Laurel Glen and Upper Canyon, which takes 45
minutes to walk.
- Blue Trail - View Pennell Falls from the blue
trail, which takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to
walk.
- Red Trail - View Bridal Veil Falls from the
Red trail. This trail is for the avid hiker in that it spans almost
2 miles, includes all eight falls, and takes over 2 hours to
hike.

As you hike the trails, or walk the grounds of Bushkill Falls,
you'll have a first-hand opportunity to see the wonders of nature
close at hand. Whether you're busy at a game of miniature golf
on our 18-hole course, cooling off on a paddle boat
ride, or feeding the wild ducks and geese, be sure to bring
your camera to capture some memorable moments against the
picturesque backdrop of Bushkill Falls.
Bird Watching on the Trails
The Pennsylvania Poconos are home to a wide variety of local and
migratory bird species including song birds, ducks and geese, wild
turkey, and birds of prey such as owls, hawks, and eagles. Other
area wildlife include black bear, white-tail deer, bobcat, red and
grey fox, coyote, raccoon, skunk, opossum, rabbit, squirrel,
woodchuck, and chipmunks.
Pennsylania Wildlife Exhibit
The Pennsylvania
Wildlife Exhibit, located at the entrance of Bushkill Falls,
features fascinating displays about the area's indigenous wildlife.
From the mighty black bear to the timid chipmunk, the exhibit is an
outstanding place to learn more about these creatures that are so
integral a part of the Bushkill Falls natural environment.
Map Adventure Program
To enhance your hiking experience, you may want to take part in
our Map Adventure program. An official trail map has been developed
just for this adventure. The map, which is especially detailed and
accurate, includes 20 "control points" that can be found on
the trails. When five, ten, or twenty locations have been found and
verified with a unique punch of your card by a park official, you
will become eligible for a monthly prize drawing.
The Map Adventure map includes a handy tree guide, along with
facts and trivia about Bushkill Falls. It is available for only
$2.00 and includes 1 punch card, additional punch cards are $.50 a
piece.
