 New Trail Map Adventure
To enhance their experience, visitors may take part in a new Map Adventure while they hike. An official trail map that is especially detailed and accurate has been developed. The map includes 20 “control points” that can be found on the trails. When five, ten, or twenty locations have been found and verified with a unique punch, the hiker becomes eligible for a monthly prize drawing.
The map also includes a handy tree guide and facts & trivia about Bushkill Falls . It is available for only $2.00 and includes 1 punch card, additional punch cards are $.50.
Bushkill Falls provides families, friends, couples, and nature enthusiasts with an excellent opportunity to experience the splendor and beauty of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains. Bring some comfortable shoes for a walk over natural pathways. Its only a short distance to view the Main Falls from the primary observation deck. Three additional hiking trails provide numerous viewing angles of all eight waterfalls. Our trails are designed for appeal to varying ages and physical conditioning. We'll gladly advise as to the appropriateness of our trails depending upon your individual abilities or concerns. Our trails vary in length and difficulty; the green trail - takes about 15 minutes to walk, the red trail - spans almost 2 miles, includes all eight falls, and takes over 2 hours to hike. No matter which trail you choose, natural mountain plants, trees, and flowers cover the area.
The Pennsylvania Poconos are home to a wide variety of local and migratory bird species including song birds, ducks and geese, wild turkey, and birds of prey such as owls, hawks, and eagles. Other area wildlife include black bear, white-tail deer, bobcat, red and grey fox, coyote, raccoon, skunk, opossum, rabbit, squirrel, woodchuck, and chipmunks. The Pennsylvania Wildlife Museum, located at the entrance of Bushkill Falls, features fascinating displays about the area's indigenous wildlife. From the mighty black bear to the timid chipmunk, the museum is an outstanding place to learn more about these creatures that are so integral a part of the Bushkill Falls natural environment.
As you hike the trails, or walk the grounds of Bushkill Falls, you'll have a first-hand opportunity to see the wonders of nature close at hand. Whether you're busy at a game of miniature golf on our 18-hole course, cooling off on a paddle boat ride, or feeding the wild ducks and geese, be sure to bring your camera to capture some memorable moments against the picturesque backdrop of Bushkill Falls
